Dear Friends, Family, and Supporters,
We are reaching out to ask for your help in sending standout fighter; Tayler Kelly and Coach Sacha Leonard-Hijazi to the 2025 IFMA (International Federation of Muaythai Associations) Senior World Championships in Antalya, Turkey from May 22 to the 1st of June.
Also known as the Olympics of amateur Muay Thai, this is the highest level of sport for amateur Muay Thai athletes from around the world. Only the best of the best are selected to represent their respective countries at this prestigious tournament.
Tayler is in the unique position of being the current Muay Thai Canada (MTC) National Champion in 2 different weight categories; 67kg and 71kg. Tayler recently won the vacant 71kg MTC belt via KO (Art of War 8 -February 22nd, 2025), and won the 67kg MTC belt by defeating the reigning champion via Unanimous Decision at the IFMA Pan-Am games (hosted in Ottawa, Canada -September 28, 2024).
About Tayler Kelly:
Since Tayler began competing, she has proven to be a juggernaut on the Women's Muay Thai scene in Canada. She's a dedicated athlete, is hard working, driven, and is a great teammate to everyone at Ottawa Fight & Fitness. When she's not training at the gym, Tayler works as a fitness trainer helping others achieve their health and fitness goals. Her list of accomplishments in Muay Thai thus far include:
- MTC Canadian Champion 71 kg A-Class
- MTC Canadian Champion 67 kg A-Class
- WBC Canadian Champion 67 kg A-Class
- CMTO Champion 67 kg B-Class
- TBA Classic -Muay Thai World Expo Super Welterweight Champion B-Class
- TBA Classic -Muay Thai World Expo Super Welterweight Champion C-Class
Why we need your help:
Since this tournament is entirely self-funded, there are several financial hurdles to overcome. Unfortunately we don't receive any funding from the Province to help offset our expenses which include: Airfare to Turkey for Coach and Athlete, accommodation (Hotel), and competition fees.
