Hello, my name is Leo and my family and me have recently become homeless. We were just starting to get back on our feet after Covid, but then my wife had to stop working because of her mother’s dementia getting worse, and Hurricane Ian and Nicole hitting us back to back completely decimated my business. All of this happening right after my phone got hacked and someone emptied out my bank account. We were put on a payment plan and keeping up, but when Nicole hit our bank was closed and we couldn’t get a certified check in time. So they made our payment plan null&void. The rental company served us court papers and told us to wait on a court date. But we never heard from the court until after the judge made his decision. When asked what happened, they refused to provide any info. A few days later sheriffs were at my door. We lost everything. This is really embarrassing for me, but I’m desperate.
