Bring Tim Home

Tim Donovan, a resident of Ardentown, was the longest serving Deputy General Attorney in the history of the State of Delaware.  He is also known as a popular performer in local theaters. Since 2014, Tim has suffered from an  unidentified wasting disease that was finally diagnosed this spring as Normal Pressure Hydrocephalus (NPH). In July, just days before brain surgery was scheduled to reverse the damage from NPH, Tim suffered a massive stroke.

Since then, Tim has been in four hospitals and four rehabilitation centers as they tried to address his multiple medical challenges. In September, Tim finally had surgery to relieve the NPH, but the damage was too great and while he has almost made a full cognitive recovery, he will always need a motorized wheelchair and other assistive devices, as well as some skilled nursing beyond what Katie (his loving wife of 44 years) can provide.  However, Tim and Katie have exhausted both their medical benefits and their personal resources. It is time for Tim to come home.

Those of you who have known Tim throughout his long career, both on stage and as a state’s attorney, are asked to help defray the many costs of giving Tim a good quality of life at home where he can continue to heal with his family.
