Hi everyone, my name is Angeline and on the night of Sunday, June 25th my grandma passed away due to numerous health complications. She had suffered an aneurysm last year and has been recovering as best she can. A few days prior to her passing, she was her normal self and did not show any strange signs that alarmed my family. However, on Thursday morning, I had woken to find that she had experienced a stroke.

She was admitted to the hospital and transferred to UCSF, where she went into surgery. My family was under the impression that she would go into recovery afterwards. But she developed various complications that were untreatable. These events were extremely sudden, and my family is trying to cope to the best of our abilities.

I would like to mention that I would not be here if it weren’t for my grandma taking care of me when I was younger. She did everything for me, and I regret not cherishing or recognizing this enough. I’m deeply hurt by the thought of her not being here when I graduate, go to college, get a job, or even start a family.

When my grandma was alive, she explained how she wanted to be buried with her family members in Vietnam. Due to this, we have to respect and fulfill her request. We need a mortuary to transport her body which will cost thousands and we have to pay for plane tickets as well. This is on top of the the money needed for the actual service itself. Which is difficult to obtain in such short notice.

It would mean a lot to my family and my grandma if you could support this fundraiser. The funds will lift some of the weight off our shoulders during this difficult and unfortunate time. We would like for my grandma to be able to rest easy, and your help would be greatly appreciated.
