Desperate Need

 
I would like to introduce you to my niece Brandy, her husband Chad, and their family. This family is facing a very dire situation and desperately need all the help they can get.

Chad, only 43 years young, has been diagnosed with Auto-Immune Hepatitis. This is a hereditary disease which they were told he was born with, but was only diagnosed with about a year and a half ago after he became symptomatic.  The disease is irreversible as he needs a liver transplant to survive and for which he does not qualify.  He is suffering from multiple organ and system failures throughout his body.  Unfortunately time is short for Chad.  Once Chad loses his battle to survive, then this struggling family will be left without their loving father to help provide for them as he once was able to prior to becoming ill.


The medical bills have already exceeded an estimated $130,000. The family has no medical insurance or life insurance. Chad was deemed disabled 6 months ago but the benefits only provide a minimal income for this family of 8.  Chad is not expected to live very long; he is on Hospice now. He has had to back off of any medications that would normally do more than provide comfort as those medications are no longer providing any medical benefit for him and are causing him a great deal of discomfort; nausea and other issues.


Besides the money owed for his medical bills, they have no money available for funeral expenses, car repairs which are desperately needed, as well as upcoming living expenses and college expenses. Their oldest child at home is about to turn 18, and their youngest is 3 years old. Brandy is unable to work due to being Chad's full time care-giver as well as being a stay at home parent having so many young ones to care for and raise. The oldest ones help out as best they can. However caring for Chad is a 24/7 responsibility that is pretty much on Brandy's shoulders as Chad's mental state is in a steady decline.


Brandy and her family could use your help three different yet very significant ways.


First - Prayers. This is a very faithful family. They see the help that goes out to the Believing from the Holy Spirit or whatever higher power you might believe in.


Second - Spread The Word - Let your family, friends, neighbors, and associates both on Facebook and other social media sites, and by word of mouth, know about this Go Fund Me campaign. This will help increase the exposure that this campaign requires to achieve the success this family so desperately needs.


Third - Donations. Whatever you can donate, no matter how big or small, is greatly appreciated. As I have heard previously (not sure by who as I can't recall nor am I able to directly quote it) "Out of the minor efforts of some, great and mighty miracles can be achieved".
