Help Me Keep a 20-Year Bonfire Tradition Alive

This may be the most difficult thing I’ve ever written.

Like many, this past year has been rough. I was laid off, and after six months, I’m still searching for work. To get by, I’ve even had to dip into my retirement savings—something I never thought I’d need to do.

Under these circumstances, I wasn’t sure if it would be possible to attend Bonfire in Lewes this year. Yet this isn’t just a trip for me—it’s a tradition and a source of strength.

This year would mark my 20th consecutive Bonfire (Covid aside), and nearly 35 Bonfire-related trips overall. Through Bonfire, I’ve built lifelong friendships, made countless memories, and found a community that has given me more than I could ever repay.

I’m humbly asking for help to make this milestone possible. If I can manage the trip, there won’t be badges, banners, or extras this time - just me, showing up for something that has meant so much for so long. (My wife says I’m quite enough on my own. ❤️)
