Support For Santos Berumen & Family

My father in law recently became severely disabled. His family needs help financially until disability comes in May 2018. Please read below for what happened. Santos Berumen was taken to the emergency room on Halloween 2017. A tumor had ruptured in his brain causing a hemorrhage. The neurologist put catheters to drain the fluid in the brain and reduce inflammation in the brain. MRI revealed he had multiple tumors in his brain, and one tumor was blocking the ventricles in the brain so surgery was needed to remove it. MRI also revealed masses in his lungs. A biopsy was done and he was diagnosed with Stage 4 Lung Cancer. The tumors in the brain had come from the cancer in the lungs. He was hospitalized for 2 months. He is disabled and will not be able to work. His balance when walking is affected and cannot walk by himself. He needs help with basic functionality daily. He is unable to bathe himself, use the restroom, etc without help. His short term memory has been affected severely. He can remember things for no more than a couple of hours. His long term memory hasn’t been affected as much, but there is still some issues. He must be monitored 24/7. With the amount of attention and care required to prevent any accidents from happening, his wife is unable to work to pay the bills. They have applied for disability but the benefits will not be received until May 2018. They have been living off of their savings for last 3 months. Money is getting tight and they need help paying the mortgage as well as other typical bills. This traumatic event has impacted their lives tremendously. Donations given will be used to help pay their bills until assistance/disability comes in. Santos and his wife, Zenaida, are some of the nicest people you will ever meet. They have always been very giving people and always helping others when they can. The fact this is happening to people who are so loving and kind is heartbreaking. If you would like to donate and help this wonderful family I know they would greatly appreciate it. Thank you and may God bless you for your kindness. I don’t know how much money is needed exactly. I would like to get 3 months of income to help them get by. It doesn’t matter what amount you donate, ANYTHING IS HELPFUL. This is just a great tool and opportunity to be able to help a family in need. God Bless! P.S. They would never ask for help even if they needed it. They don’t want to be a burden on others. I know they need the help, and I feel like they are most deserving of it. Thank you again for your help. Sincerely, Julio Arzola
