50th Anniversary Honeymoon for Mary and Johnny!

Pssst, this is a secret fundraiser, so DO NOT share this publicly where John and Mary can inadvertently see it!!!

Hello family and friends, it's Michele! My brother John and I are helping to organize a special 50th wedding anniversary for our mom and dad, whom you all know and love dearly - Mary and Johnny Merritt. Mom has been begging Dad to go to New England since John and I were toddlers, and Dad has been saying "one day" the whole time. They are so busy doing things for others, that they've never stopped to take this trip for themselves. So, here's a great idea to help celebrate this couple who has been together and in love for FIFTY YEARS: pitch in to help send them on this trip!

We have found a tour that will take them on a completely planned and guided trek through the New England states and it includes Martha's Vineyard, a place Dad has always said he'd love to see because of the architecture. We will also likely add on an extra night or two in Boston so they can have a bit more time to explore on their own. This, plus flights, plus food and spending money is a bit much for John and I to take on ourselves, so we thought if we sent this around to all the many people who love our mom and dad, the funds would be easily raised. The more we raise, the more luxurious we can make the accomodations and flights.

We will be making a giant card and adding all the names of those who donate and will give this to them on their anniversary, June 29. All the funds will go directly to them once they recieve this gift, but we will help them book the trip, flights, etc.
