In honor of my 50th, I am passing the hat for my dearest, darling Debelina Dina...
Since birth, my Aunt Deb has been my soul-sister. We have one of those connections you don't always find with blood relatives. I was a precocious and sensitive little soul, and she "got" me. Once, when I was 5, and she was flying back home from NY, I begged my parents to let me sleep at my grandparents' place on the Beach so I could see her as SOON as she landed. I couldn't wait. She was on a late-night flight, and I stayed awake until she arrived in the wee hours. And now that I'm grown, I KNOW she was exhausted; but she stayed up talking to me until the sun came up. :) That is LOVE!
From the first photo, where she's holding newborn me, to the final where she's making me weep at my graduation from UNM, and all the way-too-many-memories-to-count in between, she's been by my side for my whole life. Amazing aunt and friend, confidante and fellow traveler, wisdom-keeper and sharer... I am incredibly fortunate to have her for my aunt!
My father's little sister, the mom to my awesome cousins, Joy and Michael, Aunt to me and my sibs, Great-Aunt to my daughter, niecelet and nephew, and a helper and healer to all she meets, Deb is an amazing and much-loved member of our family, and the human family.
And as happens on this wild road called life, she's got a health thing (I'm not going to talk about her medical business here, but know that she's going to be well, and we can help her get that way!), and because her insurance isn't covering everything she needs, I am inviting anyone who wants to bless me on my 50th to share some love and support with my dearest Debela.
All kinds of support are welcome! You can send her light, healing, Reiki, love, prayers, and all donations will go directly to medical bills...
My deepest love and gratitude for everything my Beloved Community can offer! Thank you for helping someone who has helped so many...
I love you Debs!! And I see you well, and whole, and enjoying life in a body for a long time to come...
Always,
your Cec McGeese...
