50Km Glasgow Ultra Marathon
Ultramarathon for Mental Health – In Support of CALM
This July, I’m taking on an ultramarathon to raise awareness and vital funds for mental health through the charity CALM. This journey is deeply personal, shaped by both my own experiences and the profound impact of losing someone who was not just a dear friend, but the very reason I am the runner I am today.
He drove me, supported me, and was my number one cheerleader in everything I did—but especially in running. Our friendship was built on countless miles together, on the roads of Qatar and the long, lonely stretches of desert where we shared conversations about life, challenges, wins, family, his kids, his wife, my journey, and my business. Those runs were more than just training—they were moments of happiness, reflection, and growth.
Running has become more than just a physical challenge for me—it’s been a source of healing and a space where I’ve found strength in the face of difficult times. This ultramarathon represents more than just a goal; it’s a tribute to an incredible friendship, the power of support, and the unspoken strength we can carry for one another.
By supporting this cause, you’re not just helping me cross a finish line—you’re helping to break the stigma around mental health and providing crucial resources for those who need it most. Every step I take in this ultramarathon will be driven by a deep purpose: to honor an extraordinary friendship, to support those who are struggling, and to remind us all that no one has to face it alone.
Thank you for your support. It means more than words can say.
PS: The world is ALWAYS better with you in it.
