Mi Heroe, mi guerrera, ALMA GOMEZ

Hi! I would like for you to meet my beautiful sister Alma Gomez and share her story! Approximately 5 ½ years ago, her life changed unexpectedly. She was diagnosed with Stage 3C ovarian cancer. It was a completely shock for her entire family and we wondered why this had happened to her. To all of you that know Alma, she is a very special, humble and beautiful human being. Why her? She started her journey since then and unfortunately it hasn’t gotten any easier. All the chemotherapy that she has received since then has damaged her immune system so much that she has become immune to it. Her platelets are very low as well as everything else such as her red and white blood cells. She is under a lot of pain since the tumor that initially was in one of her lymph nodes has grown and is now pushing some nerves in her stomach and it has also reached her intestines. She recently received a few rounds of radiation only to help with the pain but the cancer is still there. We have no other option then to look for alternative medication. Sometimes she feels that she no longer wants to fight since she has gone thought a lot but she remembers that she has 2 beautiful daughters and her husband, Leslie, 16 and Valeria, 12 and gets motivated once again to fight until the end. Alma is at a point where there are no more options for her in the States but we still have hope for my sister. There is a holistic treatment given in Tijuana, Mexico and we have decided to take her back. She responded very well the first time she was there and we hope she does well this time too. She is scheduled to return February 15th and will be admitted at CHIPSA for 3 weeks. Since this treatment is not given in the states, her medical insurance does not cover it. The entire cost for her to receive the treatment is $20,000. Even though we’ve had several fundraisers, we have not been able to collect all the money and out time is running up since her tumors have mediatized to her pancreas and other lymph nodes in her body. We have very high hope that Alma will respond to this treatment once again and get better. That is why we are asking for your donations to get Alma back to Tijuana soon. Hola, Les kiero contar y k conozcan a mi bella hermana Alma Gomez!! Hace aproximadamente 5 anos y medio, la vida dio un giro inesperado y drastico a la vida d mi hermana..Ella fue diagnosticada con cancer d ovario, nos llego d sopresa pork numca esperamos k esa enfermedad le tocara a un ser tan especial, hermosa, sentimientos y corazon puro, pork a ella??La pregunta k todos nos hacemos..Alma a luchado por mas d 5 anos, contra esta enfermedad y lamentablemente no la deja trankila, pero ella a demostrado ser muy fuerte y nos a comprobado k el cancer no la tumbara..Hace aproximadamente 8 meses, ella viajo a Tijuana Baja California, a un tratamiento hollistico..Regreso, muy repuesta y era otra persona, con energia, feliz, sus ojos transmitian felicidad y amor.De repente, todo cambio ella recayo y a entrado y salido a hospitales varias veces..Su oncologo nos hizo saber k las chemoterapias no le hacen efecto, no la ayudan ya al contrario la afectan..Empezo, 10 sesiones d radiaciones pero ella esta muy debil..Tiene tiempo sin tratamiento, y eso a causado k su tumor siga creciendo..Nuestro deseo, es k ella regrese a Tijuana, para un segundo tratamiento k nos dijieron k ella se repondra..Alma, ya no puede trabajar debido a su salud..Alma es muy kerida por familia, amistadez, y gente k se a ganado su carino..Alma es la mayor d los 8 hermanos, k somos d familia..Ella, es un angel siempre dispuesta a ayudar cuando la necesitamos.. Tenemos mucha Fe, k ella saldra vencedora, pork los medicos podran decir y dar miles d diagnosticos, pero Dios, es el unico k tiene la ultima palabra!!Dios bendiga a cada una d las personas, k nos apoyan!!!
