Help Me Run 500 Kilometers to Fund Scholarships for Scripps Ranch Students
Hi, my name is Bryan Brown, and I’m proud to be a 2025 rookie with the Scripps Ranch Old Pros Foundation. Over the past few years, I’ve used running as a way to challenge myself—and to raise money for causes that matter. From completing the brutal Goggins 4x4x48 Challenge (4 miles every 4 hours for 48 hours) to fundraising for Feeding San Diego and Donovan’s Smile, I’ve seen firsthand how movement can fuel impact.
This summer, I’m turning my miles into money for a cause close to home.
The Challenge: 500Ks of Summer
I’ll be running 500 kilometers (310 miles) over the course of the summer, starting July 1st and finishing before Labor Day. Most of the miles will be logged right here in Scripps Ranch, often around Miramar Lake.
My goal is to raise $2,500 for the Scripps Ranch Old Pros Foundation Scholarship Fund, which provides financial assistance to local students pursuing higher education. Every dollar helps fuel opportunity for the next generation in our community.
How You Can Help
I’m asking for sponsorship of $5 per kilometer, but any donation amount is welcome and appreciated. All funds raised go directly to the SROP Foundation.
You can follow my progress on Instagram and Strava, where I’ll be posting regular updates and keeping everyone honest (and hopefully entertained).
If you’re local, feel free to join me for a few miles, cheer me on, or share this page with others. Together, we can make this summer one to remember—not just for the miles, but for the impact we’ll make.
Thank you for your support!
