My Name is Natalie, I am an average 27 year old. I came across a post on Facebook that said about walking 1000 miles in a year, then I thought that is just far to simple for me.
Then I had the idea of making a challenge to push my own personal boundaries therefore coming up with the total of 5000 miles.
I lost my dad suddenly in 2015 which was a shock to me, my family and friends. He was volunteering at the Brig for there Spring Craft Fayre when he passed away, this was something he loved deeply.
He was at the time the President of Normanton Lions Club, a position he had for 3 ocassions.
He was also a keen railway spotter.
I am am not really setting a financial goal because I don't have one to set. I am just wanting to raise money for two charities close to my heart for my dad, who would of turned 70 on January 7th.
I am choosing to support Normanton Lions Club especially because my dad was president at the time of his passing, and also Railway Children because of the short connection he had with my daughter.
What ever I raise I am truly thankful. 365 days running from 01/01/17 to 31/12/17
I will be using various walking apps to track my progress
On June 1st 2017 I lost my sort of my mum Jennifer Hume. She has been a big part of my life and I wouldnt be the women I am now without her. I have now decided to raise money also for cancer research
