I recently received help ordering the wheelchair I needed, and I know firsthand that that kind of access changes everything. Independence. Dignity. Freedom. Once you experience the relief that comes with knowing access is on the way, you don’t forget how hard it is to live without that hope.
Just days ago, Key Way Medical reached out to me with a dilemma, and I just couldn’t say no.
Key Way Medical is a small, California-based company that has poured their heart into giving back to the disability community. I’ve worked with them on a wheelchair giveaway before, and I know firsthand how deeply they care about getting people the equipment they need—not just making sales.
Unfortunately, like many small businesses, operations are no longer sustainable for them. But instead of letting their remaining inventory sit, we asked one important question:
What if we could still get these power wheelchairs into the homes of people who truly need them?
That’s where this challenge was born.
Together, we’re launching a time-crunch fundraiser — making sure these power wheelchairs go directly to people who need mobility, access, and independence, even as Key Way winds down operations.
We have until February 28th to make this happen.
The Challenge:
• 50 power wheelchairs
• $50,000 total
• Just $1,000 per chair
That $1,000 covers the base cost of each wheelchair, plus transportation, logistics, insurance, and all the behind-the-scenes “boring stuff” that makes sure each chair safely reaches someone’s home.
No fluff. No excess. Just real access.
This is a rare opportunity to turn a difficult ending into something powerful — to make sure 50 people don’t have to keep waiting for the mobility they deserve.
If you’ve ever wanted your donation to have a direct, tangible impact, this is it.
Let’s see how many lives we can move forward, together as one team.
50 chairs. 50 people. Right now.
Let’s change some lives.
