50 Miles in January Challenge for Leitrim GAA

We are a  group of Leitrim supporters running, walking or soloing 50 miles in January. We're from all over the world, but share a determination to brave the elements, get fitter and raise funds to support all of our county's teams in 2021

“We’ve had no avenue for income since last march.   No income from county games or club games, even pub draws are gone.   Leitrim has been closed down.   

And as a rural community we don’t have the industrial base to generate income from sponsorship.   But that shouldn’t stop us from putting out a team.   

And this fundraiser has been the most exhilarating thing to get people up and moving and thinking.   

The Leitrim supporters at home and abroad… they have lifted us.   

And I’m hoping that, when the final push at the end happens, €50,000 will be raised.   

Because there is no other avenue.”
