The St. Paul police are investigating the assault, the 5 year old little girl was beaten and assaulted in her neighborhood.
The person of interest has not been publicly identified or taken into custody thus far.
The family is worked with the police.
We really need the public to step forward with information to find the assailant that attacked my daughter.
The incident happened the morning of Monday May 2,2016 as she was waiting to catch her school bus.

Because she's a minor and a victim, we are not giving her name.
It was reported, that a stranger attacked the child as she waited for her school bus.
Those who love her and support her say they want to protect her and others in the neighborhood.
"They're only little children, they can't do anything for themselves.
We wouldn't want him to overpower anybody else's child," said, the girl's grandmother.
One of our goals is to help her feel like a happy child again and she has dreamt about seeing the Eiffle Tower since she received a statue as a gift from a family friend two years ago.
She is a bright young girl who has developed big dreams to go see Paris and the Eiffle Tower one day.
The is hope that she can fill her life with happy and positive memories as part of her recovery process.
Funds raised for the girl will be used for immediate relief for the family.
If we are blessed enough to receive additional support it will go towards the upliftment of the victim and savings fund.
All funds will go directly for the care of the child who is the victim of this terrible crime.
