Hello Five Rings Jiu Jitsu Students, Families, and Supporters!!
Shelley Hawbecker here. As the parent of a student (Caleb, who’s been a part of Five Rings for over five years), we have profoundly appreciated Five Rings’ effort to stay positive, to stay strong, and to stay engaging during COVID. We are particularly excited to see Five Rings working hard to re-open it’s in-person portion of instruction. These have been super challenging times to say the least.
I reached out to the academy after hearing the good news to ask what I could do to help with the re-opening efforts. The coaches, wanting to ensure the highest level of health and safety of all the athletes and families, feel that purchasing 3 air purifiers for the gym would add and extra layer of protection to the protocols already in place and would meet that goal! However, each air purifier is $800.00; not a small chunk of change when COVID has already messed with your business.
As a parent and fan of Five Rings, I wanted to help the gym by raising money to go towards the purchase of this safety measure. Any amount that you are willing to give will be greatly appreciated and used towards the $2400 purchase. Let's get the gym ready for safety and success!
