5 out of 6 one family members disabled badly!
The Mekonen Jirra family is unfortunately devastated by an unknown disease that has disabled 5 out of the 6 members of the family, leaving them unable to walk. One of the disabled family members, the oldest daughter, has also lost her hearing. Speaking to the father and the mother, they shared that they have dealt with this tragedy for over 30 years and because it became much harder to deal with now, they decided to seek help from the community. I am so happy to see all the support, thoughts and prayers that have come from the community already. My family and I have received feedback from the family on their needs and we’ve also done research to find the type of motor wheelchairs the family expressed a need for. We welcome thoughts, prayers and donations. We have started this GoFundMe. Consider if you were in their shoes and please do what you can. We have a goal of $50K to get this family the wheelchairs and financial aid they need.
