In Loving Memory of Luiz

For almost two years, Luiz fought stage 4 kidney cancer with extraordinary strength, resilience, and grace. He endured every treatment available — immunotherapy, targeted therapy, and surgery — and faced this cruel disease without ever once asking “why me.” His courage inspired everyone around him.

On August 26, 2025, after giving everything he had, Luiz passed away. Our hearts are broken, but Maya and I will carry his love and strength with us always.

This page was originally created to help us cover treatments, therapies, and supportive care. Today, I am keeping it open to help us through this next chapter. As I navigate life as a widow and single mother, these funds will go toward immediate living expenses, childcare, and creating stability for Maya and me while we adjust and rebuild.

I’ve also continued my promise to Luiz: walking every day as part of Steps for Luiz. Even though I paused posting updates for a while, I have never stopped walking. It gives me strength and a way to honor him.
