5 family members lost in this tragic incident

Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji'un

‎إِنَّا لِلَّٰهِ وَإِنَّا إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعُونَ

"Verily we belong to Allah and verily to him do we return."

I am Jarria Krubally and I am fundraising for my beloved best friend and sister Haja Dukuray, Haji Dukuray with their three children .The fire that took place on January 9th, 2022 in the Bronx has left residents of the building and the community heartbroken, traumatized, and devastated. I last spoke to my sister the night before the incident occur when she was preparing to go to bed with her family and prepare for the next day. My Aunt, Makuleh Dukuray heard the tragedy news that’s has occur to her family that lives in this building. Unfortunately Makuleh Dukuray (Haja mother )has lost her daughter Haja her three grandchildren and her son in law Haji Dukuray. These families were at home while the fire broke out. As a community, it is our duty to come together during times likes this and help one another in any way that we can. 

“When a person dies, all their deeds end except three; a continuing charity, beneficial knowledge and a child who prays for them,” (Hadith, Muslim). Therefore, Muslims are eager to give charity which will continue to have benefit to people after their death and continue to earn them reward.

Our goal is to raise enough to at least build a well for each of the family members we lost, In Sha Allah. To help with the funeral expenses and care for Makuleh Dukuray who has lost her daughter, son inlaw and three grandchildren.

We are asking for any contributions, no matter the size, that will go towards any expenses for the Dukuray family.

‎إِنَّا لِلَّٰهِ وَإِنَّا إِلَيْهِ

We surely belong to Allah and to Him we shall return. May Allaah almighty , forgive and have mercy upon our beloved brothers and sisters in Islam excuse them,  pardon them and make honourable his reception. “

‎وَمَن يُطِعِ ٱللَّـهَ وَٱلرَّسُولَ فَأُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَ مَعَ ٱلَّذِينَ أَنْعَمَ ٱللَّـهُ عَلَيْهِم مِّنَ ٱلنَّبِيِّـۧنَ وَٱلصِّدِّيقِينَ وَٱلشُّهَدَآءِ وَٱلصَّـٰلِحِينَ ۚ وَحَسُنَ أُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَرَفِيقًا ﴿69﴾
