Cyclone Gati Relief fund

Tropical cyclone Gati struck Somalia on November 22, 2020. It was the strongest cyclone on record for the country, producing wind speeds topping 115mph (185 kph) and bringing 2 years worth of rain over the period of two days. People along the coast of northern Somalia, primarily in Puntland  were hit hardest by Gati. Homes, businesses, and roads have been destroyed by Gati’s high winds and flooding. Families have been displaced, and many individuals have been reported missing. Livelihoods have been lost for many individuals impacted by the storm.

Donations will help support lives that have been affected by tropical cyclone Gati. Funds will provide food, clean water, shelter, medical support and other necessities for those faced with the aftermath of Gati.

Right now, there are a number of people without homes or basic necessities, so our goal is to provide support for these families as soon as possible. Your donation will have a direct impact on how quickly some are able to recover from this disaster.
