My name is Debi Hogan. I am the secretary for Brunswick County Homeschool Activity Group, BCHAG . Linda Belvin is one of our treasured co-op teachers, as well as, one of my dearest friends. We are both from the same home town of Roanoke, Virginia, and were destined to meet when we each moved to the same street on Oak Island in NC. Linda currently resides near Wilmington, NC with her wonderful family.
Linda is an incredible homeschool wife, mother, sister, daughter and friend. She has graduated her oldest son, Justin, who is planning a June wedding with his fiance, Elizabeth. Her youngest son, Jacob, is a senior in high school and one of my son's closest friends. Linda and her husband, Robert (my husband's fishing buddy), have been married for 23 years. Linda is also the primary care giver to her loving mother, Juanita.
Linda was recently diagnosed with inoperable Stage III B cervical cancer. The tumor is so large it causes excruating pain and she is on high doses of pain medication. Linda will have chemo and radiation, 5 days a week for 5 weeks, in order to make her more comfortable. Her husband, Robert, is self employed and has spent many hours nurturing Linda, taking her to numerous doctors appointments and tending to the needs of his family.
Robert and Linda would never ask for help for themselves, so I am asking for them. Please help to cover their daily expenses. Let us try to lift this burden, so they can concentrate on healing, love and peace.
