Broadside's Big Decision

Well, I am doing something that I never in my wildest dreams thought I would do. I am asking my friends and family to help me make a life changing choice. I have decided to finally move forward with weight loss surgery. My company has elected not to cover this surgery as they deemed all weight loss surgeries a cosmetic procedure. This is by no means an easy decision for me to make, but one that I have to make if I am going to be around. Some of you may have followed my attempts and know that I have been trying to diet and have had some good success, but it is not able to be sustained. This is something that I would only do as a last resort and I feel that now is that time.

As you all know I am not a small guy. I am, to be blunt, a 471lbs guy. I am by no means a lazy couch potato. I play paintball, act in musical theater around Houston and have been a part of The Texas Renaissance Festival for the past seven years. I want to be able to perform again in a higher capacity than I already do. I want to be able to chase people down on the field and not worry about stopping. I want to be around for my wife and son for a good long while. What I am asking for from you all is a little help. I am not looking for someone to pay for everything all at once. All I ask is give what you can and only what you can:
