Nathan still needs our support.

Been a few days since we updated. Nate seems to be only a good road. Therapy is working hard on his walking. His right side is still weak, but getting stronger. Still wants to drag his foot.
His speech is getting so much better between the brain and mouth.
Talking releasing him the 17th to his mom's home.
Want to put a big shootout to all the folks that donated. You have no idea how this has helped keep Nates world together financially.
Nathan has a long road to go before even thing about going back to work.
Keep your prayers going. Please continue to share.

Nate has been moved to VA Rehab in Chillicothe, Ohio. Dad and I spend most the day there talking to doctors, social workers, nurses and watched his Memory/Speech Therapy. Doctors feel as the swelling goes down, he ability to hold conversation will get better. Right now his brain only allows so long before his starts to babble about nothing.
We questioned if he would be able to ok a POA for me to deal with his banking. Doctor felt he could in a few more days.
With all the donations I have everything paid till May, but last 2 weeks payment.
We are still in need of donations to help till I can get the POA.
Keep sharing and Praying!

Nate is coming alone slowly. Sudation is still trying to wear off. It's a few words that make sense. Off he goes to LA LA Land. Have his hands restrained due to picking fingers. Pulled out lines so far.
What everyone to understand how important it is to get a Will and POA. When you get into this spot, you are helpless.
With his bank card locked no idea of any codes, passwords. Paying his bills have been put on us. So far with donations, most everything is paid upto May.
Help is still needed to continue keeping his life together for him to come home to.
I'm at the point of begging for cash help.
No time frame when he will or if he will become coherent to sign a POA.
His disability is in the works, has a VA monthly and one work check. Just have no ability to get to it.

Today we took a day of to rest. Nathan is so tired from just being in the hospital, gave him one less thing to deal with.
Monday he will be transfered to VA for 7 to 14 day getting therapy. Hoping to have him close, but he will be an hour away in Chillicothe, Ohio.
His bills are getting paid through donations given from the heart. Want to thank you all for the support and prayer.
Keep the support coming for Nathan. POA we can not get till he fully is together. Not sure how long it will take for his disability from work will start. Either way can not get to it till the POA.
Nathan I know appreciate each and everyone of you.

Nate is still sedated, but they are trying to work with other meds to keep him comfortable. Mom got to see his eyes opened for a minute. No one will understand the warmth that flowed through her heart.
They want to try and wean him off the ventilator through this week.
That will tell us what we have to work on.
Please keep praying!

Update:
Nate is still on support, sudated, but stable. He is moving his one leg and trying to lift his head up. Still will not wiggle his toes, lift arm or open his eyes on command.
One side is just not wanting to move, bothers us.
Until he is off sedation, sure we will see a whole new world. Right now the questions cannot be answered.
We need everyone to share and donate to keep his home for the family.
Because of no POA in place. We have no access to his bank. Going to look into temporary guardianship. That will open his bank I hope to help pay bills next month.
Not even thinking if we can not fix this, 5000 will just be the start of what will help.
Wish we had a magic wand to wave.

Update as of this morning.
Nathan has Brain Trauma, know this. How much will tell us as they pull back on sedation. Right now doctors have said, his speech maybe effected. Area of the main bleed is just in that spot.
Movement on one side is still slow. Still will not move upon command. But, boy you can get him mad just messing with him.
This week they would like to cut back his sudation. 14 days is a limit on support. After this a trac will be required.
We are asking friends and family to keep sharing and supporting.
If we can get him competent to sign a POA. It will help us access his banking. But, again we don't know what we have till he wakes. It could be a couple months or more.
Waiting game to see if maybe we will need Temp. Guardianship.
Asking for prayers, financial assistance to get the family through this time.
Nathan Jennings was working his second job as armed security. Stepped out to direct traffic flowing from the event. Vehicle traveling 40 MPH hitting him.
Witness said Nathan was thrown into the air, landing on to the road. Vehicle did remain, not sure if they called it in and stayed by his side.
As his Stepmom, listening to a police scanner. You never think that run contains a close family member. As they describe, " Extremely Critical" your heart sinks for the family. Next call was his mother, both of us and his wife rushing to the hospital.
You walk in to be placed in an off room. People coming and going trying to tell you about injuries and he is intubated. Landed hard, skull fracture, small brain bleed. ENT advised Nathan had a blood mass behind his ear drum, noticed there had been bleeding from his nose. Going to be a long road to recover, not sure till all test come back on other possible injuries.
(UPDATE) MRI showed fracture on lower Lumbar.
Family is going to need help in the days to come keeping a roof over their heads, keeping bills paid and food.
Nathan bank card, credit card were taken into lockup. Even with warnings, no will no Power of Attorney. They can not release anything even to his wife. She has no access to the account, suffering from her own health issues. Fact she is fighting disability, make no financial income.
Let's come together people for Nathan.
