Post-Fire Cleanup/Repairs Pragano Family

As some of you may know, a fire broke out in my mother/sister's home on October 24th. Due to the switching of hands from mom to sis, insurance on the home was not yet taken out. (seriously missed by 2 days!) These sorts of repairs/expenses that would typically be covered, and now are completely out of pocket.

The kitchen and bathroom need to be gutted, the soot/smoke damage profess. cleaned, and as you can imagine, it is financially overwhelming. These repairs take money, and a decent amount of it.

Perhaps the saddest thing for me, is that they cannot return to residence until repairs made, per the Town of West Haven. It is just not safe to breathe all that in, and of course, the kitchen is a danger zone. For those of you who know my sister, she is a single mom. She and her girls, are in the process of taking over this home, which was my grandparents home for over 50 years, so my mom can go into senior housing.

I want to help. I am not just the big sister, but the Godparent and of course Auntie to 2 beautiful little girls whom I love with all my heart.
