Hi my name is Wen Shan, and I am raising money for my dearest friend, Wendy and her new family. Only three months ago, she welcomed her first baby and was planning a wedding and new future with her fiancé Moe. Everything seemed like it was falling into place but unfortunately last month Wendy’s home in Queens, New York caught on fire caused by a nearby building. At the time, Wendy and her newborn baby was home when the smell and sight of smoke caught her attention and she immediately ran from the 6th floor and out of the building with nothing else but her precious baby in her arms. Wendy and Moe both lost everything they owned including all their necessities for their baby from the baby shower, furniture, clothing and her wedding dress to the fire as everything was contaminated with asbestos. It was mandated by the government that ALL belongings were to be discarded in her apartment as it is a deadly health hazard especially with a newborn. They unfortunately did not have renters insurance so they will not be reimbursed or compensated for all their immense financial loss. Wendy is also currently not working and on maternity leave. All they have left is their clothes they wore that day. We are relieved to know that Wendy, Moe and her newborn baby are all safe after all of this, but now her family must begin the painful process of grieving for what they had and begin to rebuild from absolutely nothing.

Wendy is such a generous and caring person and gave so much of her time as a Registered Nurse to help during COVID, that I hope we can pull together and share with them in return during their time of immense need.
