♥ Might you consider $7—the perfect number—many giving 7 will add up! ♥
My sister, Diane Delozier, as you may or may not know, has suffered from Lupus since the late 1980's. All the life-saving medicines have killed her kidneys. If you know Diane, she will give the shirt off her back, anytime, at a moment's notice. This is really difficult for her to ask for a living donor and raise money for herself. But she is growing very weak and the shots, the therapies, the daily dialysis, and multiple blood transfusions, aren't doing much anymore. She worked hard to get to a place where she would be accepted on the TRANSPLANT LIST, and the day has finally come!!
Praises abound, but now it's time to PAY for the upcoming treatment. They say it costs hospitals $1.5 million a transplant and the LIVING DONOR and RECIPIENT must do their part. SO here we are, not only asking for a kidney donor, but also having to fund raise to even make it happen. Well, a BEAUTIFUL SOUL stepped forward to donate her kidney and she is about to get tested. This is getting real!!
If you wouldn't mind helping, a little — even $7, hopefully we can reach enough for Diane to get her part paid, including a long stay in Pittsburgh. (We just found out the Donor part should be paid and that is awesome!) I know Diane has masses that love her, especially since it only took ONE DAY for someone to offer up her kidney — and she even had a very close friend try before this — because the love for my sister is abounding.
I know we can do this together. I am guessing at the number, but know if we don't need it all, it will go to someone else that has a life-threatening condition, Diane will make sure of that, if you know my sister, she wouldn't take a penny more than she needs.
The statistics of survival for both the recipient and the donor are crazy amazing! We wouldn't be going down this road if we felt it would, in any way, cause undo harm to anyone. The transplant center has assured us that actually the donor usually has a 25%+ higher life expectancy than regular people because of the thorough process in screening.
So please let's keep PRAYING and stating POSITIVE words to Diane as she relies on such a procedure to SAVE HER LIFE ♥
with much Love,
Becky
