Tree fell on my baby boy and Lives

Collin-9, Connor-14, Madison-2, Kellie-Mom and Martin-Dad. This is what happened and Why we could use some Help. -On 1-1-2018 @ 2:45pm My two boys and I were cutting wood. I was cutting a fairly large oak tree and asked Collin to go stand on our deck so he was Safe from harms way... I have cut many trees down in my life. This particular tree was perfect size to have plenty of firewood to heat our house through winter. (I am on disability and money is always very very tight... We are down to less than 20% propane so burning wood saves us some money...) I knoched one side to fall tree into clear opening. I then cut at an angle on the back side to finish the cut. The tree should have dropped with ease. Instead as it began to fall it twisted and fell onto the deck right where i had just sent Collin. At first I didnt see Collin and thought he was somewhere else...then i saw him. I ran to him. He was sitting up with his head down, covered by his hoodie. I yelled "bud get up". "Bud come on... We gotta cut this up now, then fix the deck." He didnt answer. I grabbed him and he fell over, lifeless in my arms. "Oh my God i just killed my son" i thought. He had blood coming from his nose and was clenching on his tounge. He was Not breathing at all. I didnt even hesitate. I laid him flat, pinched his nose and blew air into his mouth. No response. I compressed his chest and blew another big breath into him. He gasped. Oh my God, i thought. I yelled as hard as i could " CALL 911!" "CALL 911". Kellie and Madison immediately came running to the Slider Door. Kellie was yelling "What Happened". I yelled "Hes' dieing -The tree fell on him"-"Call 911". She screamed. Oh my God tried and the call failed. She tried again and got through. I kept yelling at Collin "Come on baby breathe" "You gotta stay alive baby." "Dont you die on me - God dont let my baby die". I dont remember but i probably said that 1000 times. I was in complete shock. I blew my voice out by yelling. "where are they", i kept yelling at kellie. She yelled " Their coming". "5 minuites away". "Hes not gonna make it if they dont get here soon". Oh my gosh. I cant hardly tell this over again. So the EMTs finally got there. And I got yelled at because i was yelling "Dont let him die". They asked me to just let us do our job. I didnt wanna let go of him. Then the EMT yelled " Get the bird in route". I said "please get him to the hospital. Please Hury" So what seemed to take an eternity let to them stabilizing him, airlifting him, and to the operating room within 30 minutes. He was there. Under care. Stabilized for the moment. Breathing but not responsive. We were told that we need to take this minute by minute. No guarantee that he will survive this.. He is hurt really bad. I made the statement. "i need to know right now...if i need to fly him to California or somewhere else i will find a way... Is this place able to take care of my son?" I was told. "We will use every tool we have to help him" "We have the best doctors and equipment to help him around." They were and are right. The hospital staff at Helen Devos Children Hospital are so compassionate. Day 3. Collin survived - GOD is healing Collin, and we may be in for a very long road of recovery. Collin is determined to have a severe skull fracture... Pressure on his brain is stable. His fracture is pushing on the Arterial Artery on his brain. He is under a Medically sedated to let him heal and let his brain repair itself. Its too early to know the extent of his damages... Either way we dont care how long or what he needs... We still have our baby boy. I can't begin to express the emotion I feel for the blessing I have from my Lord above. Jesus has wrapped his arms around my son and is delivered him from this injury. The doctors and the medicine are helping but the prayers he re is receiving his was really saved his life this can only be described as a God thing... We have some money but we are lost as far as trasportation. Connor is in school yet. Madison needs to be moved around between family. We live 40-50 miles away from the hospital. We need normal everyday things and now after this we are not sure what to expect. Bills are going to start seriously pilling up and we could loose everything. I am not the type of person to ask for help without paying you back. So this is very humbling to have to ask anyone for this. This is for Collin. His expenses with recovery. His future is unknown but as a Father... I would like to get him the things he may need to have a normal life... He loves Jesus and understands how to help others in need. He has the biggest heart. If you know him or if you met him, he would steal your heart. I couldnt ask for better children. We love them and teach them to love the Lord and always help others in need. Thank you for helping with Collins Treatment and Additional Expenses. God Bless You All.
