I've been having a hard time trying to figure out what am i gonna write down for this Gofund me page for my mom, Mona Lisa Rodriguez (Cardona)....
As some of you may know my mom is currently in Stanford fighting for her life.
Let me me give you a brief summary on her journey..
The ending of May 2020 my mom was having lots of pain in her stomach and started bloating from her feet. They became so big she couldn't even stand or walk on them. Mom called into work one weekend thinking she just needed to rest for a few days and the swelling would go down. But that wasn't her case. The bloating got worse. It moved up to her legs, stomach and then to her face. My mom being the strong stubborn women she is she refused to go to the hospital. We knew something was wrong. She wasn't acting like herself anymore. She was starting to forget things and would repeat herself. Reminded me of a baby. She finally went to a local hospital. Where she was admitted in for a few days. Due to the covid none of us was able to be with her to get any accurate info on to what was going on with her. We tried talking to a doctor or Nurse in charge but no one was able to give us a straight answer. My mom then comes home to tell us she was diagnosed with Cirrhosis of the Liver.
Right away I started to do my research online and found some groups on social media. After learning about this Cirrhosis of the Liver, I broke down. I've heard of this disease before. It's already taken many dear loved ones in my family. Now it's coming for my mom. .
This disease has come with a vengeance and within 5 months it is literally deteriorating her. Everyday since then has been different. She's been in and out of the hospital and just recently she got admitted into the ICU. She was in a deep sleep unable to wake up for 3 days on her own. They found a bleeding ulcer in her stomach. She's been losing lots of blood platelets. They stopped the ulcer from bleeding in her stomach from fluid build up . Then 2 days later she ended up having 2 seizures. They then did a CT Scan and an MRI and noticed that pressure in the back of her head and noticed she had some blood hemmoraging in the back of her left side if the head. Everyday there is something else that comes up. She is in pain and just looking at her I know she is hurting she is literally suffering. I wish there was a way I can take away her pain.
The only solution to get my mom better is to get a Liver Transplant so she no longer will have endure in this pain. Since my moms health insurance doesn't cover all her medical cost, I am reaching out to you all to ask for some donations.

She has always had a good heart and whenever someone needed her she was always there with no hesitation. My mom has been through alot already. I'm keeping my faith. I know she can beat this. We just need your help to help her fight this battle.
