My Name is Brian Coones and I am raising money for my friend and fellow
Veteran Nick Smith. Nick was one of my soldiers many years ago, he needs help getting back on his feet and we never leave a Battle Buddy behind.

Nick is self employed, he started his own moving company a few years ago in Southern California. This past weekend  Oct. 11/12 someone stole the cargo truck that he uses for his business and the insurance company is not covering the theft. His truck is how he makes a living and provides for his wife and 5yr old daughter, without the truck he cannot operate his business or provide for his family. I am raising money for Nick to be get a replacement truck and keep his business going. He also has 3 employees, 1 full time and 2 part time that work for him. His story is below. 

My name is Nick Smith and I am a Father, a Husband, a US Army Veteran and dedicated part of my local community. It was always my dream to own my own business after I completed my commitment to the military. 3 years ago I made that dream a reality when I opened Mighty Movers. We started as a labor only company, but within our first year I was able to purchase a used truck and hire three employees. Since then, I’m proud to say, we’ve been able to run a successful moving company servicing 100s of satisfied clients all over Southern California. In the time we’ve been open I’ve had neighbors complain about the truck being parked in the neighborhood (although legally), I’ve had my tires slashed and even had sugar put in my gas tank once which cost me $3,000 to have the motor rebuilt. I have taken those losses in stride as I have to provide for my family and it is my first priority. I have a responsibility to them and the families of my employees. 2 days ago I would be devastated when I found that my truck had been stolen along with my boat which was in the back. My insurance will not cover the loss of either theft. This has left me at a great loss and with the predicament of having to close my business and not being able to provide for my wife and my 5 year old daughter. I am a prideful person and this is not easy for me, but I am humble when it comes to my family and I now need help raising funds to buy a replacement truck so that I can save my business, get back on my feet and continue moving forward.
