Help Rut: Fighting Brain Cancer

Rut is a 12-year-old girl diagnosed with a malignant brain tumor. After experiencing symptoms such as headaches, vomiting, and seizures, she underwent an MRI and CT scan, which revealed a tumor in the right parieto-occipital region of her brain. This required surgery in November 2025. Despite the procedure, the tumor grew back, leading to a second surgery in February 2026.

The final diagnosis, confirmed by the St. Jude Oncology Center in the U.S., is a Grade 4 diffuse glioma with the H3 G34 mutation. Rut is currently receiving treatment with radiation therapy and temozolomide, but she is still awaiting the chance to participate in clinical trials that may offer a definitive solution.

Rut es una niña de 12 años diagnosticada con un tumor cerebral maligno.
