Many of you already know that Kathy, aka mother, had major heart surgery on July 18. Four days later she suffered a massive stroke. The prognosis, in my opinion, is just too far out to tell. It could go so many ways. It will mostly be determined by her and God's will.

She has the capability to improve physically, verbally and mentally; but also she keeps having many setbacks. Setbacks like muscle cramps lasting all night with only a minute or three in between before the next round starts; a third, stronger, UTI in as many weeks; confusion; exhaustion; hallucinations and just so many disruptions from trying to recover from the stroke. The heart surgery in which she had 7 by-passes, seems like a walk in the park, compared to this.

Right now she is being cared for by family and some dear friends. Someone is with her all the time. We have recently started hiring some of her nurse techs, who we absolutely love, to help fill in the gaps or give us time to go home.

I started this gofundme to see if we could help raise some money to help pay for her caretakers, food for mother, and whatever else.

We are over two months into this and I don't know how long we have yet to go. I just want my sweet, funny Momma back and I'm ready for her to tell us what she's been thinking. My prayers are for us to overcome these hurdles and be able to focus on rehab.
