4x4x48 for Small Business

Who am I?
Curt Dahlen, Owner of Xcel Fitness in Eden Prairie, MN.

What is this event?
4x4x48: on March 5-7, I will be running 4 miles every 4 hours for 48 hours.

Why am I doing this?
The 4x4x48 is also a fundraiser for a charity or cause of my choice.  This year I will be raising money for small businesses that have been negatively impacted by the Covid-19 pandemic.  My goal is to draw as much attention as possible to the unique nature of this event, then redirect that attention towards supporting businesses in need.

Why is this important to me?
As a small business owner who has felt the devastating effects of the business closures, I feel compelled to utilize what's at my disposal (physicality, people, influence) to generate support for others.

Who am I donating to?
Every penny of the money donated will be given to the Barstool small business fund.  The Barstool Fund is a nationwide initiative to assist small businesses that have been affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.  To date, this fund has raised over 33 million dollars funding over 200 small businesses and counting.

What is our fundraising goal?
I want to raise at least $10,000.  We have a powerful community/network of people at Xcel and I know we can hit this.  I have started the donation page with $500 from Xcel Fitness.  While I can't provide much on my own, collectively we have an opportunity to make a significant impact.
