*What* - 24 Dec - 26 Dec 25 I will be undertaking David goggins 4x4x48 challenge whilst carrying a 48lbs bergen.

*Why* - In early 2025 I felt my life falling apart around me and was struggling to come to terms with life's stresses. personal circumstances, work induced pressure, isolation, financial difficulties coupled with a PTSD diagnosis, I didn't know where to turn for help. At the time I felt like I had be a man and get on with it. I didn't talk, I didn't reach out for help. Instead I bottled it all up to the point where on the 10 June I attempted to take my own life. On the surface i was outgoing, happy and the class clown. Inside I was hurting. After that day I knew I needed to talk about my mental health. In the months that followed I developed a support network and began recieving the treatment I needed. Mental health can hit you when you least expect it. I never thought I'd suffer with mental health and think suicide was the only option. It is not weak and does not make you lesser of a person to ask for help. Someone to listen may just be all you need. Combat stress listened to me when I needed it most and I felt I had noone else I wanted to burden with my issues.

*Who* - Combat Stress are the UK's leading charity for veterans' mental health. For almost a century they have helped former servicemen and women deal with issues like trauma, anxiety, depression and post-traumatic stress disorder. Their mission is to raise awareness that invisible injuries can be just as hard to cope with as physical ones.
