On October 6, 2015 our daughter Anna went into septic shock from a kidney infection, and was in a medically induced coma in the ICU in Denver, CO for 2 weeks. She then was transfered to another hospital where she underwent Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy and multiple surgeries for treatment of her necrotic hands and feet due to the Sepsis. After spending 6 more weeks in the hospital and going through intensive therapy, the outcome was that she had to have 9 fingers partially amputated, all the toes on her right foot and all of her foot to the heel on her left.
Anna is home now and in a wheelchair. The pain has been intense both physically and emotionally, but she is a strong, brave and couragous woman. Life is quite different and she has had to learn and adapt, but she will not let this get her down & is looking foward to what lies ahead.

Anna and John are a young family with 3 sweet, energetic kids- Bella, 7, Jake, 4, and Ashton, 1. Anna is self employed as a graphic designer and also spends a lot of time and energy caring for the kids. She is an incredible mom and a lot of people depend on her.
Right now, Anna is in need of financial help as she has everyday expenses that are affected by her inability to work. Her new daily routine consists of going to all of her various rehabilitation therapies and doctors. Sandy and I have been here since October and will remain as long as needed. John has been a huge blessing and a rock for Anna. He is working long hours to pick up the extra income that has been needed while Anna is unable to work. We are really thankful that John and Anna have a great support system of friends and family who have continued to give and help out generously.
In the next few weeks she will be getting fitted for prosthetics on both feet and hopefully hands. However, her hand prosthetics may not be covered by her insurance because she has partial fingers. All of this as you know is very costly- along with the surgeons and rehab costs.
Please consider giving to this fund as a way to help her take care of her family during this critical time as she has long road to recovery. We have already seen many improvements and the doctors are encouraged by her progress.
Thank you to all that have encouraged us, prayed for us and contributed to the original fund. It is amazing how so many people joined together in support of Anna & family....even people she does not know.
