Dear friends & colleagues,
This campaign is to support the family of our dear friend, Naga Smitha Vemulapalli, who passed away at 39 years of age on Wednesday, 28 August 2019 fighting bravely with cancer. Smitha was detected with Stage 4 Ovarian Cancer in April 2019.
Smitha leaves behind her husband Satish and 2 year old daughter Sahasra. This lovely child suffers from congenital heart disease and went through multiple surgeries so far during her early years. She currently undergoes a special care routine. This is very pressing emotionally and financially for the family. Their sweet family deserves care, love and support to get through this devastating time.
Smitha was very optimistic, enthusiastic, compassionate listener, well-wisher, a kind and lively person with great sense of humor and polite manners. She was very helpful to friends and strangers alike. Smitha represented ATL Strikers women's team during multiple cricket leagues in Atlanta. She was a dedicated mother, wife, daughter, sister and a great friend.
During the brief time of friendship with her, we never saw Smitha asking for help. Smitha's family is generous and always helpful. We started this campaign for requesting donations, to provide the family with financial support that might partially help them go through this difficult time.
Funds collected will help with:
1. Pending medical bills from Smitha's treatment
2. Pay for Sahasra's medical care/treatments in immediate future
Smitha's husband Satish Sunkara will be the beneficiary of your donations.
