Help Our Dad Recover and Rebuild After Amputation

For as long as we can remember, our dad has been the rock of our family. Through every challenge life threw at him—layoffs from IBM and GMCR, financial struggles, loss of family members, and everything our family has endured—he never wavered. No matter how exhausted he was after a 12-hour shift, he still showed up, making it to every recital, football game, and school event, ensuring that his family never felt unsupported.

If you’ve ever met our dad, you know him as the guy who always puts others first. He’s the one making sure everyone has eaten before sitting down himself. The one who fills his yard with wind spinners, solar lights, and decorations—not for himself, but to bring a smile to his neighbors’ faces. And no matter what life throws at him, he’s always quick with his signature line: "Better by the minute!"

But now, he needs our help.

A severe infection recently led to the devastating loss of his foot. This life-altering event has left him unable to work at this time while his body heals and rehabilitates, with mounting medical expenses and no financial cushion to fall back on. He has always given everything to his family and community—now, we have the chance to give back to him.

We are raising funds to help cover medical bills, rehabilitation, essential utilities, and the mortgage. Any amount, big or small, will make a difference in helping him heal, adjust, and continue being the incredible father, friend, and neighbor that he has always been.
