4Ward Lax Gear and Opportunies

Our incipient program has been growing at an exponential rate, with official Sunday practices and after school shooting and stick skills during the week.

We believe that it would be a disservice to these extremely talented and bright young people not to get them involved in the official sport of lacrosse as soon as possible so they have every opportunity to enjoy the academic, athletic, and lifelong benefits the game can bring. In order to achieve this, we need to be able to outfit our players with sticks, protective gear, running shoes, uniforms, entry fees and camp funding.

Because of this gap between starting the program and official funding we need your help! We have created donation levels that describe the level of sponsorship you will be providing to a player with your commitment:

Girls
$20 Donation provides a player with cleats
$30 Donation provides them with a US Lacrosse membership which they need to play
$60 Donation provides them with cleats and uniform
$90 Donation provides them with a stick, a bag, and goggles
$150 Donation provides one player with all required gear for game play.

Boys
$20 Donation provides a player with cleats
$30 Donation provides them with a US Lacrosse membership which they need to play
$60 Donation provides them with cleats and a uniform
$80 Donation provides them with a complete stick and gloves
$90 Donation provides them with a set of pads
$110 Donation provides them with a helmet
$175 Donation provides them with a helmet, stick, pads, and gloves through a special package at Lacrosse Unlimited!
$300 Donation provides one player with all required gear for game play.

$600 Donation provides four girls with all required gear, 2 boys with all required gear, or a summer camp registration and gear for one player.

We also welcome the donation of any gear or equipment you might have, whether lacrosse related or general atheletic equipment like gear bags, goals, cones, balls, shoes and socks.

These kids are passionate about lacrosse and we see them walking around the neighborhood with their sticks and a ball to play with anywhere they can. It is truly something special to see lacrosse spread with such contagiousness among the youth of a community who have never heard of the sport, and are not only heartened to hear that it is the oldest sport in North America, but pushing its boundaries through the combination of athleticism, environment, and ingenuity. We believe that these kids can bring something new to a very old sport, and hope that by playing it, they engage in a long tradition of valuing athleticism and intellect in collaboration.

Our ultimate goal with this program is to give the youth of our neighborhood access to experience and opportunities that they might not otherwise ever have the chance to experience through the sport of lacrosse. We believe that lacrosse is a sport that develops each player not only physically, but also mentally, to achieve their full potential and see paths to a future they might otherwise never be exposed to.

Anything you can share, give, promote, anything will make a difference! We are working with the Community Development Corporation of Freedmen's Town so anything that you donate is a tax deductable contribution and we can provide you with the appropriate receipts. Thank you all so much!
