Help Pip Get Surgery
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Juliet - and I’m a rock climber & dog lover in Austin, Texas. I met Pip on August 31st when she desperately needed help - abandoned and badly injured, she had crawled into the front yard of the elderly neighbor across the street. The neighbor asked for my help identifying the dog - who had a collar but no tag, and a swollen back leg with dried blood on it. After giving the dog (now named Pip) some food and water, she allowed me to carry her into my car and rush her to the local vet to check her health.
The good news: besides the leg, everything else about Pip seemed healthy. Pip warmed up to me quickly as her temporary mom and stole the hearts of the vets & vet techs at the clinic with cautious quick kisses and gentle demeanor.
The bad news: Her back left leg was severely broken, seemingly from an abuse & dumping situation. At just 8 months old, Pip had experienced something terrible, causing her intense pain and leaving her alone in the heat. If it wasn’t for the neighbor across the street flagging me down, Pip might not have survived much longer. She’s going to need an expensive fracture repair surgery to recover & it’s more than I can financially bear.
I’ve signed Pip up for the life changing surgery she needs, but the estimated cost is around $6,000. Pip needs this surgery, and the vets are optimistic that with her health and young age, she will make a miraculous recovery and live a happy, healthy life with whoever adopts her! But before that, we need your help - this surgery will put a massive financial burden on me that I can’t afford as her foster mom. Please, help save Pip’s life and donate to her surgery!
