On September 16, 2025, my 14-year-old daughter, Anita Ward-Street, was badly injured in a tragic fireworks accident.

Her right hand was severely damaged she lost her middle finger, two other fingers were shaved down, and her thumb is badly injured. Her left hand exploded and is also badly damaged. Anita cannot use either of her hands at this time.

Thankfully, her insurance will cover her medical expenses, including surgeries and therapy. But she still needs full-time care, and I am her primary caregiver. She cannot feed herself, dress herself, or do everyday activities without help.

Because of her injuries, I am unable to work right now. We are asking for support to help cover daily care needs, adaptive equipment, transportation for appointments, and household expenses while I stay by her side and help her recover.
