December 2022, Jamie started his LVAD journey…He, along with the doctors made the decision to do this procedure to prolong his life until he can be placed on the heart transplant list. This procedure has been very successful and that is why Jamie decided to move forward with it. Since having the LVAD surgery his body has had to adjust to having a new machine to help his heart. He has had some setbacks with COVID, kidney issues, internal bleeds and infections, but with the team of doctors Jamie has been assigned, they have been able to find the cause and location of the bleeds and infections so that they can tend to them. With every setback Jamie finds the strength to fight and has had some big improvements. Jamie has also found strength within his family and wife Stacy. Stacy had been by Jamie's side through it all. She has been blessed to have found Terry's Place, a home away from home for families with loved ones in critical condition at Community Regional Medical Center. This has been a Godsend for Stacy with all that Jamie is going through. She is just right across the street if his condition should change at any moment. Stacy was only planning to be at Terry house for a short time, but has now turned into months. It is not certain when Jamie will be able to come home and how much longer Stacy will need her room at Terry's house. I am setting up a GoFundMe to help Stacy with room and board so that she can stay close to her husband Jamie and not worry about the accumulated cost.
