Help Hunter Heal
Donation protected
My niece Tanya is currently at the Children’s Hospital (CHEO) in Ottawa with her son 12 year old son Hunter who’s recently been diagnosed with Inflammatory Bowel Disease.
Hunter was initially misdiagnosed as being lactose intolerant but after becoming very sick, and ending up at both the Hospital in Sturgeon Falls and North Bay, he was eventually air-lifted to CHEO in Ottawa where he was properly diagnosed and is now receiving treatment.
The hope is to raise some funds to help Tanya and Hunter to alleviate some of the stress of being away from the rest of their family, and the overall financial burden that comes with having a sick child.
Hunter has already been in the hospital for almost 2 weeks with another couple of days to go and while the Northern Health Travel Grant covers a some of the cost, it’s not close to enough. Once he’s out of the hospital and back home, he’ll then have regular appointments in Ottawa for the foreseeable future.
Anything helps.
