Help my family evacuate from Gaza Strip

Donation protected

Hello,

My name is Hasan Ali, and I have created this fundraiser in hope to help my sister, Lina Ali and her family which consists of her husband, Amro Ali, and their two kids Adam and Maria. Here is their story as told by Amro.

As the war escalates in Gaza, my family and I find ourselves trapped in a dangerous and uncertain situation that has forced us to seek assistance from compassionate souls like yours. My name is Amro Ali. I am a father of two small kids, a designer and translator and for nearly a decade, I’ve been working with the Palestine Red Crescent Society (PRCS), helping raising awareness about the needs of affected populations and the services provided by the PRCS. Now, I’m on a mission of a different kind: to secure a safe future for my family amidst the genocide.

My family has been displaced three times, since the 7th of Octuber, each time facing the terrifying reality of bombings, shellings, and constant threat of death. We are living in a tent, after Israels army destroyed our Houses in Gaza and Khanyounes. There is a lack of food and healthy drinking water, and all of us became infected with hepatitis A. Our children have witnessed horrors that no child should ever experience. Despite our efforts to provide them with a sense of safety, the cycle of violence continues to haunt us, leaving us with profound scars that may never fully heal.

My wife, Lina Ali, 28 years old, is an incredibly talented architect who has dedicated herself to her craft as a freelancer.

Our eldest son, Adam, 7 years old, is a bright student who excels in his studies. He misses his school and friends dearly. His longing for the familiarity of his classroom and the laughter of his friends weighs heavily on our hearts.

And then there’s Maria, our 3 years old precious daughter, whose pure soul brings light into even the darkest of days. Her innocence and kindness serve as a beacon of hope amidst the chaos that surrounds us.

Now, lacking all means of security and comfort, we are looking to find safety outside of Gaza. In Turkey I can get a job and my wife can work as a freelancer. With some funds we can provide our passports, border crossing fees, temporary accommodations, visa and flights to Turkey. We don’t have big wishes, but we just want to live in safety, health and provide a good future for our children.

Thank you for standing with us.

Dear Supporters,

Despite the current closure of the Rafah border, I am continuing to share my campaign and reach out to all of you for your generous support.

As many of you know, the situation has been challenging for my family, and the closure of the border has added another layer of difficulty. However, your support means the world to us, and we are patiently waiting for the border to reopen so that we can evacuate and ensure the safety of my loved ones.

Please continue to share my campaign with your networks and consider donating if you are able.

It has been nearly a year and a half since the war began—a relentless storm that uprooted us from our homes and scattered our dreams like dust in the wind. We were forced to flee from northern Gaza to the south, leaving behind our homes, our memories, and our dreams. Every day was a test of endurance, a battle against despair.

But today, we have returned to our homes in northern Gaza after they announced the ceasefire. Yet, But what we returned to is not what we left behind. Our homes stand in ruins, stripped bare, their walls whispering stories of all they have endured. Gaza, once familiar and full of life, now feels like a stranger.

Still, despite the devastation, hope remains. Even in the ruins, we hold on to the belief that one day, we will rebuild, we will heal, and we will reclaim the life that was taken from us.

Thanks
