Hello, my name is Huân (Bentley) Nguyễn. In the winter of 2014 my kidneys failed due to hereditary reasons. During the past 5 years I have been a dialysis patient, having to dialize 3 days a week; 3 and a half hours each session. Since I have a family consisting of my wife and 2 young children ages 9 and 6, I would go as early as I could (from 5am to 9am) so I would have the rest of the day to work and provide for my family. On August 10, 2019, The Lord gave me the gift of transplant, and I received a kidney from a deceased donor. Thank you Lord, and thank you generous donor. I'm so grateful for this new lease on life and I aim to make the best of it.
I'm starting this GoFundMe account to raise money for medical expenses. When one has end stage renal disease (ESRD) and are on dialysis, you are considered disabled and the generous United States Government (we the people) steps in and helps with your medical expenses via Medicare. Once you get a transplant, you are now off of the disabled list and the aid ceases. So now I'm facing some challenging financial hurdles as I'm limited to do much for the next 6 months as I recover from the transplant surgery. I'm asking you all to help me get over these financial hurdles until I can get back on my feet fully. Any amount donated will be a blessing and truly appreciated. God Bless you and thank you all!
