Fundraiser For Moo Hwang's Funeral Expenses
As many of you know, Moo lost his two-year battle with leukemia on April 11, and we are trying to raise funds to pay for his funeral expenses.
I want to say thank you to everyone who has contributed to this account and to those who contributed outside of this account. This fund was established by Debbie Cain Belanger, at my request for help, since I am not on facebook. This is Moon Hwang, Moo's brother, writing this message. Most of you know me, but I just wanted to say a heartfelt thank you to those of you who don't know me. Driving back and forth between Philips, Maine, where I live, down to Reading, where Moo is now laid to rest, was very difficult during such a sad time, and I cannot say enough how much I appreciate all of the love and support for Moo during his illness and passing. With this fund, we will be able to pay for his funeral home expenses in Reading, and he is able to have a final resting place where all of his wonderful friends can visit him. We hope to be able to put up a headstone very soon that will illustrate how much we love and will miss Moo.
As required by gofundme, in order to access these funds for withdrawal to pay for Moo's funeral expenses, I have to state that I am going to withdraw from these funds to pay for Moo's funeral expenses. If I don't, they will continue to keep this account hijacked and locked for our "protection". So, for the record, I am stating that I will be withdrawing from these funds to pay for the remaining balance of Moo's funeral expenses. May this serve as a blueprint for future gofundme'ers.
Any remaining funds will then go towards Moo's headstone with any remaining funds from that going towards a charity that benefits children with cancer (TBD). Thank you for showing your love for Moo.
