Hi, my name is Patrick. I'm here for a fundraiser to give me a little hope in my time of need from the community.
I bought a used vehicle two months ago. I saved up for a little over a year to get this car, and after I bought it, a short time later, I started having starting issues. So, I called the BMW shop to see if they could help me with this issue. At first, they advised that a battery and starter were supposed to be replaced, but they took it upon themselves to do a full check-up on the car and started fixing other things that I did not request.
After having my car since the 24th of this month, they still have it. I called today to check with them, and they gave me an estimate of the work that they felt needed to be additionally done. I disagreed; I only wanted what I could afford. Now that they've done extra stuff without my permission, the bill is much, much too high. I think it's not fair that they do this to me. Now I'm having a hard time coming up with the money for the service they did without my knowledge, and I'm afraid I'm going to lose what I worked so hard to get.
I was once homeless two years ago. I found a job, started working, and saved for this car. It was one of my main goals to get a car. I live in a hotel and was just starting to save for my next goal, but now that all this is happening to me, I feel like I'm failing myself again because I'm afraid I'm going to lose my job. I have to Uber to and from work daily, and I live in a hotel, so it's going to leave me with nothing to fall back on.
I have proof, paperwork, and phone numbers that can verify all my statements. I'm just asking, please help. Anything would be a start; even words of hope will help me right now. I just don't want to lose my car, cause my job, then I'll be back on the street. I did that for 3 years before I was able to get my ball rolling. If anybody knows me, I came a long way, and I'm letting my pride go. I'm asking for your help. Thanks in advance. This is a true cry for help. Like I said, the phone number to them is there for everyone to check this out. Again, I'm Patrick. I'm just dying to live my life the right way.
