Middle daughter:  Daddy is going to kill me for using this photo, but it is the best one in my possession at the moment.  It is the only one that captures the small, yet large amount of love that we have for this man.

As many of my friends and family know my father, Clifford C. Parker, was diagnosed after his birthday with stage one lung and stage three liver cancer in April. He was bedridden and hospitalized for almost a month; but after his release he quickly (and very adamantly) began to show signs of wanting to get back to work. For those who do not personally know my father, he's been employed since his early teens and worked up until the day he was hospitalized. My dad is a sliver away from 70, he's laid concrete in all of Kitsap county. His chemotherapy treatment worked well on his lungs, but after two months of treatment to his liver, we haven't seen much improvement; because of, his doctor has stopped all chemotherapy and given him pain medication to make things easier for him.

My father hasn't passed away and knowing him, he'll give us hell longer than we honestly expect it. He's a stubborn ol' mule and I wouldn't have it any other way right now.

He is the light of our lives, our guardian and our first love. Without his tough love and kind words and ability to put up with all my tears and emotions, I'd never had made it this far. He's made me a better mother, friend, sister and person.  This description will never begin to do him justice.

There is no projected time to expect his passing, his doctor has said that we either have weeks or months.

I would ultimately like to set up a decent amount of funds, to help with hospice care and aftercare costs for my mother fairly quickly, so she can sit on it comfortably and not worry about costs of anything.

This is hard for me to do, but any and everything is appreciated and valued.

Even if it's just sharing this,  anything helps.

I've devestated, I'm broken and hurt, but I'm still able to laugh with my dad from time to time. It's that time that I love and appreciate the most.
