Help Doug Kick Cancer's A$$

So if you know Doug, you know he's one of the most genuine kindhearted generous people you've ever met. He would do anything for anyone no questions asked. I think having him in your life is an honor and a privilege. But you've probably missed his contagious smile as much as I have in the last year. As most of you know Doug was diagnosed with throat cancer last April. He fought through seven weeks of radiation and was gradually starting to feel better. But then he started to feel worse. Much worse. The cancer was back and far more aggressive. After countless ER visits and great efforts by his doctors here in Rockford he was referred to a throat cancer specialist at UW Madison. On October 20 Doug went in for his consultation with his new doctor. Little did they know he would not be coming home from this appointment for a very long time. That day Doug had emergency surgery. That was the first of six surgeries between October 20 and December 3rd. He spent several weeks in the hospital. That is where he celebrated Thanksgiving and his birthday. On December 9th Doug finally got to go home. Again things were looking positive and he was feeling better, but at a follow up appointment they found that the cancer was back again. On February 15th Doug started his next round of treatments. Radiation five days a week and this time they've added chemo once a week. In Madison. So Monday through Friday Doug and Sabrina drive to and from Madison. I can't begin to imagine the medical bills that have accumulated on top of day to day, month to month regular bills. Add the cost of gas for daily trips to and from Madison. The bills keep multiplying but with Doug's treatments and hospital stay neither of them have been able to work which means no income. Please find it in your hearts to help Doug and Sabrina. Every little bit helps. If you know them you know they'd do the same for you without hesitation.
