- Hi, my name is Angela. In May of this year, I was diagnosed with stage four metastatic estrogen-positive breast cancer, as well as bone cancer. Life as I knew it is no longer the same..Currently, I’m on chemo to try to shrink the tumors and also letrozole that kills my hormones to keep the tumors from growing anymore. Treatment has been extremely hard, getting used to all the medication as well as all the side effects that go hand in hand. So many trips to doctors appointments and procedures.. daily life is becoming a struggle not only physically, but mentally as well..
- At the end of my 21-day chemo cycle each month, I have been having severe allergic reactions all over my legs, which consist of red swollen bumps and welts that feel like bruises up and down my legs, nausea, fatigue, body pain, headaches and pain in my feet that I can barely walk. This rash lasts 10-15 days and keeps me off work for extended periods of time. This month I picked up some funk on top of this and haven’t been able to barely move or function.. after speaking with my nurses and doctor, sadly I recently had to walk away from my job because I had became an undependable person due to this illness not knowing how I would feel daily.. makes my heart pretty sad because I did like my job very much and the people I worked with.. It was very hard decision that I would never thought that I’d have to make ever in my life at age 47.. my body doesn’t even feel like my body anymore. sometimes life just isn’t fair…
- my husband and I are already behind on almost all bills before I had to resign from my job.. I had to have quite a bit of time off work in the very beginning of this journey for tests and procedures, and mentally wrap my head around the whole situation… I was just starting to get caught back up. With that being said, I’m asking for any help that anybody could give or donate to me.I have applied for Social Security, now my understanding is it’s gonna take a while there as well..so any help that anybody could offer I really need and I really appreciate ..anybody That’s already donated to me Ty very much. . it was used to pick up medication’s for co-pays. and I appreciate it very very much more than anybody you could ever know.. As I do know what time of year it is and it’s tough for everyone, it’s very hard for me to ask for help at all, but all the foundations and different places that I have applied to for help all have extensive waiting times and others have no funds till after new year sumtime..
