July 26th Jasmine was in a car accident. We still don’t know the cause. Jasmine is 23 years old and she doesn’t have health insurance. She is currently in the ICU. She had bleeding on the brain, which has stopped. After a long surgery Tuesday, she has rods in both legs. Her femur and her shoulder were crushed. She has metal plates holding everything together. They are still working to determine what permanent damage she might have. She currently lives with her boyfriend but her doctor has suggested she move in with her parents as she will need round the clock care. She is going to need months of therapy and doctors visits, as well as a wheelchair. Her car is totaled and she did not have gap insurance. She still owes $5000 on her car. Her parents will have to be able to cover Jasmines regular bills, her medical bills, and also their own bills as Jasmines mother might have to stop working to care for her. Any donations will be used to pay all of these I’ve previously listed and the expenses of the next few months. It has been an extremely difficult time for our family.
